STEP 3: Assigning the test to more students

First, add the students to the placement group. You can do this manually or by importing them. Once you have done this, follow these steps to assign more tests within an existing group:

1. Click the Tests tab and select Track.
   
    
2. Choose the group from the drop-down list, then click next.
   
    
3. Click Young Learners Placement Test.
   
    
4. Click the add students button.
   
    
5. Tick the student(s) you want to add (making sure other students stay ticked), Then click next.
6. Change the assignment details if necessary, then click next.

Show/hide explanation of assignment details:

Time allowed: The Oxford Young Learners Placement Test moves through the questions automatically. 'Time allowed' is set to 80 minutes. You will not need to change this.

Show results: This option does not apply to the Oxford Young Learners Placement Test. Please leave this box blank.

Visible from date: Choose the date that the test will be available from. The default is today's date.

Due date: After this date the test will no longer be available to your students. The default is one month from today but this can be changed to any date in the future.

Print login slips: Leave this option selected if you would like to download your students' log in details.

Send emails: Deselect this option if you do not want to email log in details to your students or their parents.

Copy me in to all emails: Select this option if you would like to be "CCed" into all emails.

Notify me...: If you select one of these options the OLMS will email you when your students have completed a test.

Note:
If you have created a placement group with unknown students, you will not see any of the email options described above.

7. Check the summary carefully.
8. When you are ready, click the confirm button to assign the tests.
9. Click the download & print button to download log in slips, if needed.
