STEP 1: Creating unknown students

First, create your students. Then you can assign your tests.

  1. Click the Admin tab and select Manage placement groups.

  2. Click Create placement group and select Young learners.

  3. Give your group a name in Step 1 (e.g. Young Learners July).
  4. In Step 2, select the first option and enter the number of students you will be testing.

  5. Click the Save button, followed by OK on the messages that appear.
Important:
The system gives each “unknown” student a number instead of a name. You must match your students to these numbers to view their results. There are two ways to do this:
  • Enter the students' real names now (recommended). Students' names will be printed on the log in slips and shown in the results table.
  • Write the students' names on the log in slips when you have printed them at the end of Step 2. Students' names will not appear in the results table. You will need to keep the login slips and match the numbers in the results table to the students' names on the slips.
 

When you have created your group, you can assign your tests.

Note:
Log-in details will be generated when tests are assigned to students in the next step.
